In April, the Aka Architecture Athens team is welcoming young enthusiasts to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center for three self-contained architectural workshops. The aim of the workshops is to familiarize children with basic architectural concepts and allow them to discover different modes of representation based on the scale used each time.
In this series of workshops, participants will discover the excitement and power of composition as a way to create striking collages, while also experimenting with a variety of drawing and painting materials, highlighting the expressive properties of color.
Strangeness makes a comeback at the SNFCC, mixes up the books on the shelves, and sneaks into the print shop. This time, we invite you to employ your imagination and creativity and explore with us the history and techniques of printing. During the workshops, we will have the opportunity to capture and reproduce words and images, as always in strange, different and original ways. We look forward to seeing you at three workshops that are bound to leave a mark!
In this series of workshops, we will discover the art of creative reuse, or upcycling. We will tap into the properties of household waste, as well as old or out-of-use objects that are easily found in our living space, such as coffee pods, corks, magazines, newspapers, twine, cardboard and paper, and transform them into one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, notebooks, utility and decorative objects.
On Clean Monday, we paint together at the SNFCC Agora! Drawing inspiration from the painting by the visual artist Spyros Vassiliou, colorful birds and flying objects are imprinted on paper creating a fantasy world - an ode to freedom, in an artistic collective action open to all. Design - Implementation: Michalitsa Kozakopoulou, visual artist-educator Workshop support: Dorina Fountoulaki, ceramist-educator For children aged 4+ Free admission, on a first-come first-served basis Clean Monday 27/02, 11.00-15.00
