For Middle & Highschool Students
In nature's ecosystems, a balance is maintained between the organisms that make them up and the energy used. What would the future Athens look like if we saw it as an urban ecosystem? Could it be fueled by the energy of its population? What if waste could be a new raw material? The students, through a fast-paced design workshop, learn about the sustainable ecosystem of the SNFCC, about the sustainability practices followed worldwide and are invited to envision, design and build the model of the Athens ecosystem of the future.

Students get to know the process of producing a standalone edition (one shot zine) in the form of an artbook. The main content of this artbook is the identity of each student but also the collective identity of the teenagers. By identinty, meaning the imaginary projection of one-self in the present, in this case translated in artistic terms. Who am I? The question that students will be asked to answer through their visual representations will be "who am I?" or rather "who do I feel I am?". Utilizing mainly analog means and archival material of the SNFCC, the students manage to present personal, but also group narratives in an experimental mood. They come in contact with techniques for setting up a handmade zine, special printing techniques but also with the most basic ways of bookbinding.

The school programs of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center land in the classroom! Discover courses on education, culture and sustainability, specifically designed for each grade level.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) seeks to actively participate in school life and is always looking for new ways to support students and teachers. Thus, the SNFCC Class was created; an educational platform that enables teachers to select integrated school curricula in digital form and implement them in their own classroom, using a projector, or through distance learning, with a shared screen.
Through the Teen Volunteers program, students aged 14-18 are given the opportunity to participate in the Volunteer Program, collaborate with the SNFCC team, become acquainted with a modern cultural institution, and with the responsibilities of the Visitors Experience group, develop their communication skills, interact and have fun!
