Aiming to activate public space as a shared meeting place of accessibility and creativity, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is inviting nonprofit, independent, voluntary and activist organizations to participate in a two-day open agora that will take place on December 2th and 3rd at the SNFCC Lighthouse.
Inspired by the Science Slams that started in Germany in the early 2000s, we are organizing and curating a series of events aiming to highlight ideas, knowledge, experiences and, of course, the people behind them. True to our vision of stirring up discussions and asking questions about existing social norms, we are inviting 4 speakers who will address the general public in a simple, understandable and inclusive way. Sparking dialogue being the main aim, each speech will be followed by a Q&A session with audience participation.
Have you ever thought about how you could communicate without using your voice? On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the SNFCC is inviting young children to an original creative workshop, in which we will get to play, have fun and get to know the magical world of the Greek Sign Language. Through activities and constructions, our young friends will learn to express emotions using concepts and words in the form of signs, practice using the Greek fingerspelling alphabet and, at the same time, learn about the importance of Sign Language.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Sports Excellence, as part of its “Action for Kids with Disabilities” program, in collaboration with the SNFCC, is organizing a series of inclusive sports activities in SNFCC’s Outdoor Games Area. Inclusion activities are organized and staged thanks to an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
