We are celebrating this year’s International Archives Day (June 09) with a backstage tour, exclusively for SNFCC Members, of the depositary of Greek letters, the National Library of Greece (NLG).
2nd meeting - Wine Production & Aging for Beginners
The SNFCC Membership Program collaborates with the Wine & Spirits Professional Center (WSPC) in Greece, that provides thorough and certified training in wines and spirits – offering a cycle of three wine tasting workshops, exclusively to SNFCC members and their guest.
The Athens Cocktail Festival, after last year's successful first edition, returns this year on 9 & 10 June at the SNFCC!
Once again this year, the SNFCC Membership Program has secured a limited number of free double invitations for Members to enjoy this unique experience!
We are celebrating Father’s Day — a few days early — with a festive yoga class where fathers and children collaborate and exercise together harmoniously. An original athletic activity that aims to strengthen parent-child bonds through harmonious exercise.
Did you know that, on average, we only wear about 20% of the clothes we have in our wardrobe? One way to change this, and reclaim clothes that we wore once and then hid away in the back of our closet, is to decorate them and look at them from a fresh perspective.
During the June workshop, we will learn new stitches and embroider botanical elements on our clothes, thus breathing new life into them.
Watch the film and join us in discussing it together with Cinobo’s facilitators!
Inspired by June’s theme, “Archives,” we invite you to participate in our discussion about this Greek production of acclaimed creators Syllas Tzoumerkas and Christos Passalis, a film that sheds a bold light, for the very first time, on some dark and shameful chapters of modern Greek history, as well as on the convenient oblivion that ensued.
We create an archive of inspiration!
In this workshop, we will create our own box and dress it with handmade paper, in order to collect in it the entire semester of workshops at the SNFCC — objects, knowledge, memories.
How does it feel to be seen as a stranger? What does “stranger” mean? What’s it like to write stories and create worlds through the eyes of different cultures? Exploring the modern-day intercultural reality, children get to talk with new immigrants living in Greece and collaborate with visual artist Filippos Vasileiou. They transform scenes from the opera Madama Butterfly, crafting masks, costumes and props with references to different cultures, thus creating their very own unique artistic version of the work.
The SNFCC Members will participate in an exclusive guided tour by Christina Kalligianni, photographer and member of the Athens Photo World Organizing Committee, in the photographic exhibition of the World Health Organization, as a part of Athens Photo World 2023.
