GNO Educational and Social Activities: Madama Butterfly - Εικόνα

As part of the Greek National Opera’s cooperation with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center Membership Program, the Educational and Social Activities of the GNO offer a limited number of seats to SNFCC Members.

Music & Visual Arts Workshop for children aged 7 to 10

How does it feel to be seen as a stranger? What does “stranger” mean? What’s it like to write stories and create worlds through the eyes of different cultures? Exploring the modern-day intercultural reality, children get to talk with new immigrants living in Greece and collaborate with visual artist Filippos Vasileiou. They transform scenes from the opera Madama Butterfly, crafting masks, costumes and props with references to different cultures, thus creating their very own unique artistic version of the work.

Implementation: Rafi Music Theatre Company, Malvina Panagiotidi (visual artist)

Participants must be present for both sessions of the workshop and their seat is automatically reserved for both days.
