#snfccAtHome: Virtual tours of the Stavros Niarchos Park with Helli Pangalou – Discovering play

Helli Pangalou, Landscape Architect and co-designer, along with Deborah Nevins, of the Stavros Niarchos Park, invites us to discover the Playgrounds, on the northwestern side of the Stavros Niarchos Park.

These unique playgrounds are surrounded by trees and bushes, which allow children to explore them undisturbed. The playgrounds in the Park offer a chance for mild as well as vigorous activity for the children, as they introduce them to a world of movement, encouraging, at the same time, creative play, collaboration and experiential learning. The variety of the playground equipment welcomes children to the most lively part of the Park, into an interactive play with nature and each other.

The Playgrounds are currently closed as part of the public health measures.

The design and construction of the Stavros Niarchos Park as an open, public space, welcoming and accessible to everyone, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and the protection of the environment, is the result of the vision of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for the SNFCC. The SNFCC project was made possible through the exclusive donation of the SNF.
