CANCELLATION: Sunset DJ sets

*Due to the weather conditions, the event on Wednesday 06/09 is cancelled.

Every Wednesday at 20.00, at the highest point of the SNFCC, with views from the Saronic to the Acropolis, electronic rhythms, grooves and melodies begin at sunset. On the decks, beloved DJs that in their own way influenced the music scene in Athens. This year's line up consists of, among others, music producers, vinyl collectors, radio producers, but above all, people who live and breathe music. From soul, funk and trip hop, to electronica and world beats, the most special DJ sets are set up on the terrace of the SNFCC Lighthouse.

12/07: Teranga Beat
Adamantios Kafetzis, is an artist, avid record collector, DJ and owner of the record label Teranga Beat. Adamantios Kafetzis curates DJ sets of rare power and true feeling, always presenting unpredictable recordings. After extensive research and regular visits to Senegal and its neighboring countries, he decided to establish Teranga Beat Records, bringing to the fore a well-hidden chapter of West African music. Based in Dakar, Teranga Beat was founded in 2010, releasing 'Diamonoye Tiopité - L' Epoque De L' Evolution', a collection of compositions by Idrissa Diop during the period 1969-75. After that, 11 releases followed, the last of them (2019), the excellent "Greek Fusion Orchestra Vol.2" by the composer Kyriakos Sfetsa, the second section from the recordings of 1976-1977. An evening inspired by the psychedelic Afro-Jazz and Funky-Tropical sounds of Africa.

19/07: Dr. Orange
Vicky Adamopoulou aka Dr. Orange is a DJ of artistic projects and events, participating in festivals such as Athens Digital Festival, The Meet Market, Generations, Wow Festival, Music Festival etc. Her musical sound moves between the rhythms of Soul, Hip Hop, Rap, Funk and Grooves. Music is art, it is moments, rhythm and she couldn’t not express herself through it.

26/07: Fotini Galani
Fotini Galani is a midwife, a sound designer, and a DJ. For the past 18 years, when not performing births or giving breastfeeding lessons, she has been “dressing” dozens of bars in Athens with music, the province and abroad. She also works in music design for rhythmic gymnastics sports teams – the Greek national team among others. You can find her music at events ranging from theatrical productions to painting exhibitions. She also has her own radio show on Nostos 100.6 radio, every Saturday night from 11.00 pm to 1.00 am.

02/08: DJ Snatch
DJ Snatch is an Athens - based DJ and Radio producer (2013-2023) on Pepper 96.6, Athens Voice Radio 2023 till now. Stelios has been spinning records since 1998 and ever since he has performed in Greece, Cyprus, Italy, France & Swistzerland. His reworks have been supported globally by Djs & Radio producers including Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show in legendary BBC Radio 6 & Radio Nova. Styles including: Funky Breaks/Hip Hop/Disco/House/Tropical and everything in between with an emphasis on the groove. He has releases in Sound Of Everything & Beatnik City and shared the stage with Guts, Bosq, Avener, Allergies, Buscemi, Moullinex,Tor, Daddy G, Stereo MC's, Cayetano.

09/08: RSN
Producer, DJ and musician, he started his career at a young age, drawing musical influences from the golden age of hip hop. Based on his soul, funk and trip hop influences, he released his first personal album in 2011. Six more personal albums followed on companies such as The Sound Of Everything/Cobalt, Minos EMI/Universal and Agogo Records (Germany).  From 2009 until today, he collaborates as a DJ with the well-known British band Belleruche, making many appearances in Greece and abroad. He has also participated in important festivals around the world, while he has appeared in concerts of artists such as Alpha Blondy, Dj Krush, Wax Tailor, Parov Stellar, etc.  In 2023 he releases his last album - soundtrack of the award-winning film of Aris Chatzistefanou "Last journey”. He signed the music for the British Guardian documentary Greece's Biggest Hospital (2010), Debtocracy (Aris Hadjistefanou, 2010), Last Journey (Aris Hadjistefanou, 2022) as well as the TV spot for Doctors of the World (2011).

EVENT CANCELLATION | 23/08: Dimitris Lilis
Dimitris Lilis is the face of the music Athens that "never sleeps", counting more than 15 years in bands (Relevant Box) or as a DJ in some of the hippest hangouts of the city, this year we heard him at Kirios tis Mavillis and Clumsies while he has linked his fame with dance nights in places like Poco A Poco, K44, Salon De Bricolage and the famous Lilis Bros parties in the 00s. At the same time, he writes weekly articles about new music trends, has his own record label called Just Gazing, manages bands as well as the online music portal (https://mypodcasts.avopolis.gr/) while in the last decade he likes to be active as a radio producer collaborating with stations such as Athens Voice Radio, Offradio and avopolisradio.gr. 

30/08: PAPAIOANNOU
Dimitri Papaioannou is a key figure in the Greek music scene since the mid-'00s after he returned to Athens from a 10-year stay in Italy, where he studied the elements of sound. During his time there, he was also a resident DJ, producer, and programmer at the legendary Link in Bologna. Since a young age, he has been obsessive about collecting vinyl records and analog synthesizers. He is the founder and artistic director of Synch Festival, the most acclaimed festival ever held in Greece, which was honored as the best European Festival in 2006. He is also involved in other projects such as Terra Furba, a multidisciplinary event that includes music, art, and performances in unexpected locations within various neighborhoods. He is associated with 360 Recordstore, Fabrika Sound Studio, Spiti Bar Athens, and his latest endeavor, _&Beyond, a boutique high-end concept-grinder platform for new ideas in the field of events and music. His daily radio show, "Method To The Madness," on Movement Radio, supported by the Onassis Foundation, is now in its third year. It goes beyond being just a radio show and represents an entire musical universe that travels the world, spreading the free spirit of good music without genre compromises.

06/09: Mr.Z
Zois Chalkiopoulos lives in Athens. Back in 2012 he was voted by Athens Voice newspaper as the city’s best DJ. He holds DJ residencies in key places around Athens, he is a member of the ''Needless'' mobile party and is also founder of ''ΜΠΙΤ ΠΑΖΑΑΡ'' Vinyl Affair. At the same time, he shares his eclectic musical taste through his blog 'Naked Sides' and his radio shows on Avopolis Radio and movement radio. He writes weekly for Avopolis Music Network and has released 2 personal albums, an EP and 2 singles on vinyl, cassette and digital.
