Music Escapades: Nalyssa Green & Melentini - Εικόνα

Original artistic propositions, creators of the younger generation and unexpected musical meetings are featured in the Music Escapades series that is opening this summer’s program of concerts at the Panoramic Steps of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

From dream pop to avant-garde electronica and from soul to folk music, this double-bill show on Friday, July 7, is the definitive game changer.

Nalyssa Green
The singer, songwriter and theremin player who stood out for her soft voice and the ethereal way in which she moves between the piano, the guitar, the synthesizers and the theremin, is back at the SNFCC. The self-taught composer and songwriter from Athens has released four personal albums, two in English (Barock and The Seed) and two in Greek (Bloom and Astral Journey), and is the creator behind the viral hit single “Cocktail,” a song with over 1 million views on YouTube that introduced her to a wider audience as one of the most important representatives of Greek dream pop. Nalyssa Green composes original music for the theater, film and television, and sometimes participates as a performer on stage.

At the SNFCC, she will perform with her band, which features, among others, Miss Trichromi, Logout and Kristof, three young musicians who also stand out on the Greek music scene.
