On the occasion of the SNFCC hosting the outdoor installation Return to Sender by the African art collective NEST, SOFFA - Social Fashion Factory organization, in collaboration with the SNFCC, are holding a series of meetings for teenagers and adults, aiming to raise awareness of the environmental footprint of the fashion industry and disseminate the stories of women who have come from the countries of production, having made a long journey, just as our clothes have.
Prompted by the outdoor installation Return to Sender by the African art collective NEST, currently on display at the SNFCC, a series of creative workshops is organized, in which storytelling meets textile meets everyday politics.

This July, the SNFCC is launching a new series of workshops for infants and their guardians, aimed at helping babies discover movement and develop through it. Whatever the developmental stage of the infants, every move they are already making or attempting to master plays an important role in their overall development. Through exploration, effort, appropriate games and activities, their brain develops and the foundations are laid for the development of their intelligence, concentration, self-regulation, and their feeling happy and complete.
The gardening workshops for young and old at the SNFCC Vegetable Garden continue during the summer! In this series of workshops, aimed at families, we will discover the plants that can endure the xerothermic (dry and hot) conditions of summer, and get acquainted with medicinal, ornamental and climbing summer plants. We will examine the herbs we can find in the garden of the SNFCC and talk about their multiplication, while during the last workshop we will learn the importance of “co-cultivation” (aka intercropping, or mixed cropping) by planting seasonal vegetables.
*The 05/09 workshop will take place at the NLG Kids Lab. A series of immersive pottery workshops, during which we will discover the composition and properties of clay. We will become acquainted with the ancient art of ceramics and create our own pieces. We will experiment with the concepts of recycling, reusing and upcycling, and turn useless ceramics into unique utilitarian objects.
In the context of the outdoor installation Return to Sender by the African art collective NEST, the SNFCC invites children to participate in a group activity aimed at mapping the geographies of clothes discarded across the globe.
A new series of adult gardening workshops is launched this Spring in the Vegetable Garden, aiming to bring the public into contact with the process of cultivating and producing vegetables.
