The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) was awarded a Gold Award in the Diversity & Inclusion Awards 2023 in the Public Sector & NGOs category.
The awards were organized for a second year by Boussias Communications in collaboration with the Diversity Charter, highlighting their commitment to support initiatives, strategies and activities, with the aim of female empowerment, the acceptance of diversity and the practical application of equality in business.
The SNFCC's award emphasizes its multifaceted impact on society as a symbol of modernity for the city of Athens, articulating its philosophy through holistic infrastructure and services that promote the notions of sustainability, accessibility and inclusion.
More specifically, the awarding of the SNFCC highlighted the fact that, ever since its conception, design, construction and full operation, the SNFCC has integrated inclusion, equity and social protection as concepts that are embedded in its DNA, essentially constituting its vision. Offering equal opportunities to all, without making any discrimination based on sex, race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, religion or disability, the SNFCC is a place that is open and fully accessible to all.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is an environmentally sustainable public space for expression, culture, and recreation, envisioned and made a reality through a grant initiative by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Designed by Renzo Piano and Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) to make all visitors feel welcome, the SNFCC premises are fully accessible to people with disabilities. At the same time, educational programs are implemented that encourage cooperation between people with and without disabilities.
