The Summer Nostos Festival: RetroFuture Edition will mesmerize viewers with a majestic sunset musical performance on top of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). Woman Suspended, by renowned composer Dimitris Kamarotos and mezzo-soprano Anna Pangalou, will be staged on the Energy Canopy, the building’s highest point, in front of a sunset-lit sky.
Inspired by a poem written by Greek poet Kiki Dimoula, Woman Suspended reflects on nature, culture, art, and music in an urban setting. The musical contemplation finds its perfect stage 47 meters above the sea, with the sun setting over the Saronic Gulf and the city of Athens.
*Woman Suspended premiered in May 2020 as part of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) digital programming with support from Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
