#snfccAtHome: music/Theodore live at the SNFCC Lighthouse

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) inaugurates the new online music series #snfccAtHome: music, in which, every Saturday, acclaimed artists will present solo concerts in live broadcast from iconic spaces of the SNFCC, adhering to the necessary safety measures, and without the presence of an audience.

The live concerts’ series launches on Saturday 25/04 at 21.00 with the composer, performer and multi-instrumentalist Theodore, who performed at the SNFCC for the first time in July 2017, as part of the concert series Music Escapades.

Theodore has made tours in Europe and the USA and has performed twice at the SXSW Festival (2018 & 2019) in Texas, where he was picked as NPR Music’s ‘SXSW 2018: Favorite Discoveries And Memorable Moments’. He already has two albums under his belt, "It Is Βut It’s Not" and "Inner Dynamics", that became known worldwide. For the It Is Βut It’s Not he collaborated for the first time with producer Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, Moby, M83) and performed live at the fabled Abbey Road Studio 2 in London. His next LP, Inner Dynamics, traveled to three studios: Clouds Hill in Hamburg, Black Rock in Santorini and the Katara Studio in Doha, where it was enhanced by the magical sounds of Qatar’s Philharmonic Orchestra. The release of Inner Dynamics, as well as some singles, was announced exclusively on the show of National Public Radio (NPR). Now, Theodore works on his new album, with pieces drawing inspiration from Space exploration.

Theodore will present to the audience atmospheric, cinematic music, in which classical composition is combined with electronic elements. His unique sound, a blend of contrasting elements from a wide music spectrum, moves between the melancholic, classic and post-rock, merging ethereal melodies with psychedelic sounds.
