Fresh off the release of his latest album Unsound, ION – aka Giannis Papaioannou – is one of the most active members of the Greek electronic scene. At the SNFCC, he will be presenting excerpts from his new album, along with his previous work, live. He has been present in the music industry with this alias since 1996 and has played live at dozens of music festivals, serving as an opening act for artists such as Anne Clark, Momus, M83, Cold Cave, and more. He has collaborated with several Greek and international labels and has managed to develop a uniquely deep and personal sound: An original synthesis of ambient soundscapes, atmospheric drones, field recordings and dub techno beats.
