Minimalist aesthetics, colorful sounds and Theremins which up until now dominated the Music Escapades section, give their place to electronic guitars, an acid electronic sound, and a rock mood. This month, groups that favor musical distortion or a surf aesthetic will give visitors to the SNFCC, unique musical experiences.
The group The Cave Children started playing music together in 2013 in Athens, searching for the magic recipe for pop songwriting. The first album Quasiland, produced by Ekelon, was released by Inner Ear Records in 2015 as a song collection. Each one of the songs, provided its own interpretation of the meaning of Quasiland. Over the past two years, they have performed in many Greek and foreign festivals next to such bands as Lana del Rey, Allah-Las, Radio Moscow, Ought, TOY and Banda Magda, among others. In September of 2016, they went on their first tour, the Peninsula Tour, in countries of the Balkan peninsula, while at present, they are preparing their next album which is expected to be released at the beginning of 2017.
