Minimalist aesthetics, colorful sounds and Theremins which up until now dominated the Music Escapades section, give their place to electronic guitars, an acid electronic sound, and a rock mood. This month, groups that favor musical distortion or a surf aesthetic will give visitors to the SNFCC, unique musical experiences.
With a self-produced and self-published tape back in 2010, two full records and three LPs (one of these as Voyager 8, with the Canadian band Hellshovel) with the US label Slovenly, as well as a multitude of tours throughout the world on their record, Acid Baby Jesus have already established themselves as one of the most interesting and adventurous new psych/punk/garage bands internationally. Ready now for a creative change of direction (new sound, new recording company) they come for an exclusive performance at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Culture Center.
