A few words about autism
World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated every year on April 2nd, by a decision of the UN General Assembly, with the aim of informing the global public opinion about autism spectrum disorders. According to the World Health Organization, today 1 in 100 children are on the autism spectrum.
Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder part of the Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) group. The term "spectrum" refers to the range and complexity of expressions, challenges, and abilities, which vary for each individual. Like all of us, every individual on the autism spectrum is unique. With this in mind, the symbol adopted by relevant organizations around the world is the infinity symbol, representing diversity and difference.

The event will be offered with simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language.
