In July, SNFCC’s Jazz Chronicles concert series hosts a unique duo – singer Tamuz Nissim and guitarist George Nazos, who have been following a common path, composing and performing together since 2009.
Since 2015, they have been based in New York; in 2017, they jointly released Liquid Melodies, an album that was well-received by critics and the media.
Their arrangement of George Gershwin's "Fascinating Rhythm” was chosen for Jeff Hanley's show Jazz Happening Now, an NPR one-hour show broadcast on 43 U.S. radio stations; in 2017, they were chosen to warm Hugh Masakela at the Atlanta Jazz Festival. In their concert at SNFCC they will perform selections from their recent discography.
