Wine Tasting @ Delta Restaurant

Building our “wine routes net” and experience, in April we meet again at Delta Restaurant, where we will have the opportunity to taste 5 representative varieties of the Greek vineyard soil, as well as emblematic wines. At the same time, we will elaborate on the wine production areas, the characteristics of the varieties, the history of the wineries and of course the organoleptic characteristics of these specific wines, while we will learn “inside tips” of the wine tasting process.

This action has an educational purpose, and the presentation is undertaken by the well-known and acclaimed sommeliers, Aris Sklavenitis and Telemachos Papandreas.

Under their lead we will taste aged wines such as the Ramnista from the Kyr-Yianni Estate and the Assyrtiko from the Argyros Estate. We will travel to Nemea, tasting the Agiorgitiko from the Gaia Winery, one of the most important wineries in the area and a pioneer in the local viniculture, as well as in Mantineia tasting one of its most typical Moschofilero variety, from Troupis Winery. Finally, we will taste the Moschatos Riou Patron, a great sweet wine from the Parparoussis Winery.

The wine tasting will be followed by a dish, representative of Delta Restaurant, which will include a collection of cold cuts, Greek cheeses in various textures and shapes as well as fresh homemade bread, all made by the Delta team, as well as a selection of fermented vegetables, which will accompany in the best way this unique tasting experience.

Those interested can make their reservation via email at reservations@deltarestaurant.gr and email subject «Members Tasting», mentioning:

After sending the email, you will receive a call from the Delta Restaurant team to confirm the reservation and pay a deposit (€15/per person).
 

According to the latest measures to protect public health from the risk of spreading COVID-19, a valid vaccination certificate or a valid disease certificate, is required for the public to enter the event venue, as the venue operates as a pure venue. The above applies to adults. Μinors from 4 to 17 years old may, alternatively, submit a statement of negative self test (24 hours), a certificate of PCR (72 hours) or rapid (48 hours) diagnostic test, in accordance with the recent government measures.

A parallel identity check will be carried out on the persons who show the required certificates, as provided by law.

Participants must wear a mask and keep their distance both during attendance and during events and in accordance with the instructions of NPHO.

Due to public health measures, there may be changes regarding either the staging of the event, or the maximum number of participants.
