“But don’t you want to be a mother?”
This is a question that is still asked, a question that has been addressed to all women who have chosen not to have children, a question that no women are obliged to answer. Motherhood is a choice.
Also a choice is how to become a mother, and how to raise your children.
At a time when motherhood is changing, as women themselves are changing, severing ties with stereotypes of the past and traditional roles; at a time when we women can increasingly be what we really want to be, it is high time we addressed questions that will help shape the future.
