For kindergarten, first-grade to third-grade students
This school year, children will bring the plants of the Stavros Niarchos Park to their own neighbourhoods! Through multisensory games, observation and research, children are introduced to the colours, aromas and textures of the Park and familiarize themselves with different kinds of plants, understanding the process of planting of an urban park, focusing on Mediterranean aromatic plants and getting to know their characteristics! In the end, children choose their favorite fragrant plant from the Park and plant its seeds in origami flowerpots from recycled paper in order to take it back with them to their own neighbourhoods!

The Canal, one of the most characteristic elements of the SNFCC, functions as a metaphorical continuation of the sea from the coast of Faliro to the Cultural Center. On the occasion of the natural presence of the sea in the space and the continuous flow of water as it enters the SNFCC from the Canal, the children will participate in an artistic workshop with the basic principle of experimentation and creative play with materials, textures and techniques. Through the exploration of gestural painting and the variety of results that arise in combination with collage, they will create their own Little Art Book, as an ode to the Canal.

The school programs of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center land in the classroom! Discover courses on education, culture and sustainability, specifically designed for each grade level.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) seeks to actively participate in school life and is always looking for new ways to support students and teachers. Thus, the SNFCC Class was created; an educational platform that enables teachers to select integrated school curricula in digital form and implement them in their own classroom, using a projector, or through distance learning, with a shared screen.
