World Press Photo presents the exhibition “Resilience,” a collection of award-winning photos dedicated to issues concerning women’s position in modern-today society. SNFCC Members are offered the opportunity to participate in an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition and get to know the work of 17 photographers from 13 different countries that were awarded in the annual World Press Photo Contest from 2000 to 2021.
Exploring the educational, social and professional inequalities and limitations imposed on women in many regions of the world in the 21st century, the photos of the exhibition form a visual testimony and record of either the challenges women face or their struggle for fairer treatment, equality and more opportunities. The exhibition highlights the power of the image and its contribution to informing, awakening and activating individuals and societies.
The Members’ tour will be guided by Christina Kalligianni, photographer and general coordinator of Athens Photo World.
