For September, the SNFCC Book Club, in collaboration with the National Library of Greece, will be reading a book commemorating the 100 years since the Asia Minor Catastrophe: Story of a Prisoner of War, by Stratis Doukas. On Monday, September 26, Reading Club facilitator Krystalli Glyniadaki will meet with book lovers at the Mediterranean Garden, to share experiences, emotions and ideas, as well as to exchange views, based on the book of the month.
In September, we are excitedly resuming our Teens Book Club meetings, facilitated by writer Stella Kasdagli. The book we will be reading together this month is Jerry Spinelli’s Stargirl. Thirty Book Club members aged 12 to 16 will meet online on Sunday, September 25, at 13:00–14:30, in order to discover more worlds that are waiting to be conjured by the readers themselves, i.e. us.
The SNFCC’s Book Club for Children renews its appointment with young book lovers for September, facilitated by Artemis Manou. This month’s discussion will be drawing on the book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, by Charlie Mackesy.
