03 November 2014

A different and innovative photo exhibition opens this Friday, November 7 (at 7:00 PM), at the Visitors Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, “zooming in” on the daily lives of the 1,200 people working daily on the SNFCC worksite, contributing to the timely completion of the project.

The main purpose of this exhibition is to present the “face” and polymorphic character of the SNFCC worksite, through the eyes of the people who work there. Using cameras or their mobile phones, the SNFCC employees were asked to photograph the area of the worksite, the project’s buildings and the surrounding spaces, capturing everyday moments from the SNFCC, and their lives within it. The employees attended a photography seminar by photographer and teacher Platon Rivellis, who is responsible for supervising the exhibition. Through the 48 photographs that are being exhibited, the SNFCC employees tell the story of this lively worksite, giving the public the opportunity to “enter” the space where the vision of the SNFCC is being realized on a daily basis.

The exhibition is part of the series of free cultural events and educational seminars entitled “Scope of Activities – Meeting Points”, and will run until November 20

The inauguration of the exhibition is scheduled for Friday, the 7th of November, at 7:00 PM, at the Visitors Center of the SNFCC. Admission is free.
