On Thursday, June 9th, the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos visited the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
Mr. Pavlopoulos was offered a guided tour to the new premises of the Greek National Opera, the National Library of Greece, as well as the Stavros Niarchos Park. During the tour Mr. Pavlopoulos was updated on the construction progress of the SNFCC which is nearing completion, as well as on the innovative architectural and technical elements of the project.
Designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), the SNFCC is the largest single gift of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation with a total budget of $831mil (€596mil). Upon completion the project will be donated to the Greek State, which will be fully responsible for its management and operation.
