On Monday, July 25th the Minister of Finance, Mr. Euclid Tsakalotos visited the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
Mr. Tsakalotos was offered a guided tour to the new premises of the Greek National Opera, the National Library of Greece, as well as the Stavros Niarchos Park of a total 210,000m² . During the tour the Minister was updated on the construction progress of the SNFCC which is at its final stage, as well as on the innovative architectural and technical elements of the project. Mr. Tsakalotos was accompanied by Mr. Andreas Dracopoulos, co-President of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), Ambassador Vassilis Kaskarelis, Senior Advisor, Mrs. Christina Lambropoulou, Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Theodore Maravelias, Technical Director, and Mr. Dimitris Protopsaltou, Chief Executive Officer of the organization Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center A.E.
The SNFCC is the largest single gift of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, with a total budget of $854mil (€617mil). Upon completion the SNFCC will be delivered to the Greek State, which will be fully responsible for its management and operation. The Ministry of Finance will be responsible for the organization Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center S.A.
