Would you be able to write a poem about what you see? To create a painting about what you are listening to?
According to Jannis Psychopedis*, painting gives one the ability not only to “feel” poetry, but also to be able to “touch it”. School groups are guided through the artist’s exhibition, explore the relation between painting and poetry and create their own artworks.
Students are introduced to the concept of visual poetry, composing on paper poems with images, and the art of engraving, creating in real time small scale works.
