Creative Workshop: Unique creatures - Fantastic creatures  - Εικόνα

In January, a new series of workshops begins at the SNFCC in which young and old, using their imagination, will create unique figures inspired by three important artists - Alexander Girard, Geoffrey Farmer and Rowan McGregor.

Doll Making Workshop inspired by Alexander Girard
Alexander Girard created his wooden figures as unique entities with simple but expressive details that tell their own stories. In this workshop, we will discover Girard's fantastic creatures, their unique aesthetic and through collaboration, we will create our own unique dolls with fabric.

Discovering collage through the sculptural figures of Geoffrey Farmer
Geoffrey Farmer's anthropomorphic figures belong to a world of fantasy and are an interplay of many different materials. Through an introduction to the work of one of the most important visual artists on the contemporary Canadian art scene, we will experiment with the technique of collage in three dimensions, creating our own figures, protagonists in a world that seeks to unite reality and imagination.

Worlds in relief - worlds in three dimensions: an introduction to the work of the artist Rowan McGregor
Inspired by McGregor's dreamlike creations, we learn the technique of embossing using recyclable materials and, guided by our imagination, we will create our own universes where realism and imagination converse harmoniously.
