The creative embroidery workshop resumes for two unique sessions at the SNFCC, as part of the celebrations for the 5-year anniversary of the Culture Center!
At our first meeting, we will be embroidering an image of the SNFCC building. Starting with the materials and basic preparation necessary for needlework, we will proceed to learn the basic embroidery techniques that will help us complete our piece. The workshop aims to introduce participants into the creative world of embroidery and help them complete their own work featuring the SNFCC. Every participant will then have the opportunity to freely add an additional element representing his or her personal memory of the SNFCC.
At the second meeting, we will be inspired by Susumu Shingu’s sculpture that is located at the Greek National Opera. Starting with the selection of the most appropriate fabric to use for our needlework, we will be guided through the basic embroidery techniques until we have a completed piece of work in our hands.
The workshop is suitable for both people who have never taken up embroidery before and those who have and simply want to create something new.

For the public to enter the interior area of the activity, it is required to present a valid vaccination certificate or disease certificate, as the space operates as pure. The above applies to adults. Minors from 4 to 17 years old may, alternatively, submit a negative self test (24 hours), PCR (72 hours) or rapid (48 hours) diagnostic certificate, in accordance with the recent government measures.
In any case of presentation of an official document, a parallel identity check of the holder will be carried out.
The use of face mask and social distancing measures are mandatory in indoor and outdoor areas of the SNFCC, in accordance with Hellenic National Public Health Organization regulations.
Due to public health measures, there may be changes regarding either the staging of the event, or the maximum number of participants.
