The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is issuing an open call to people aged 18 to 25 who are interested in cultural programming and event production, in the context of the SNFCC Youth Council initiative.
The SNFCC Youth Council is back, thanks to a grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), with a new composition of a creative team of 20 people, who will be responsible for curating an independent program of events in the context of the SNFCC’s annual programming. The aim of the SNFCC Youth Council program is to enhance the engagement of young people in planning and implementing artistic, educational and social events that stand in an open dialog with the interests and concerns of their generation.
Enjoying support and guidance by the SNFCC’s Programming and Production team, which acts in an auxiliary and advisory capacity providing all necessary infrastructure and tools, the SNFCC Youth Council is exposed to the different aspects of the Organization’s operation and to continuous discourse with the wider cultural map of the city.
More specifically, the SNFCC Youth Council offers internships across the entire spectrum of event planning and implementation:

The SNFCC Youth Council team will be called upon to participate in key pillars of SNFCC Programming, such as the SNFCC Green Weekend, the SNFCC Christmas World and the WOW Athens Festival.
SNFCC Youth Council meetings are held twice a month at the SNFCC and physical participation in the meetings is mandatory.
For the more effective operation of the team, participation of people who are active or interested, inter alia, in music, sports, graphic design, communication, media, civic affairs, is encouraged; nevertheless, this does not mean that selection criteria are limited to the aforementioned fields.
Trough the creation of the SNFCC Youth Council, the SNFCC is approaching the curation and production of cultural events with a view to inclusion and participation of people from many different cultural and social backgrounds. As in all aspects of its operation and activity, the Cultural Center offers equal opportunities of participation to all, regardless of nationality or ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, educational background, gender, or other elements of their personal identity.
Duration of term at the SNFCC Youth Council: 1 year
