A thematic initiative of artistic visits in two parts, exclusively for SNFCC Members
In the context of the thematic initiative of visits from November 2021 until March 2022 that the Membership Program schedules exclusively for the Members of the Cultural Center Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNFCC) and in collaboration with ArtWorks and the Delta Restaurant, on Monday 21/03 at 18.00 will take place our last visit the Delta Restaurant.
The Lent season, rich in flavors, savors and Spring aromas, has a unique gastronomic character and appeal due to fasting.
In this workshop, we will wed fine wines from Ktima Biblia Chora with favorite Lent recipes, like condiments (such as eggplant salad, tarama salad) and cold appetizers (octopus, potato salad) with handmade bread by Betty's Bakery. The wine presentation will be curated by the Biblia Chora Estate sommelier, while the menu by the IT catering chef.
In our last meetup with the artists exhibiting their work at the Delta Restaurant, this March, we have the greatest pleasure of meeting in person the artist Dimitris Efeoglou, who is visiting us at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, presents his work and talks with us about his technique.
In March we explore the sense of Smell through a first acquaintance meeting with Aromatherapy.
The aim of the laboratory is to examine the basic principles of Aromatherapy, to get to know the therapeutic and healing effects of essential oils, to gain a first understanding of their safe use, to prepare cream and massage oil, and keep up with the basic equipment and materials we will use.
This March at the Members’ Meetup, we will plumb the depths of our personal moments concerning the Senses of smell and taste, from attraction to repression, the emotions we associate with olfactory and taste experiences, as they include the past, and the future, within the Now.
Theatrical game workshop based on the senses for children 6- 9 years old
Driven by the Spring aromas and the memories triggered by the taste of a cookie, we will try to find the beginning and the finish line of a story, the path it follows and where it eventually ends up.
The Membership Program of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC), in collaboration with the National Library of Greece (NLG) are organizing a special visit-tour for the Members of the SNFCC, in the painting exhibition of Michalis Madenis, entitled "The Exiles", where the SNFCC Members will have the opportunity to meet in person the artist, as well as his work.
