In our summer meeting we prepare ourselves for little getaways to the park, creating the necessary accessories for our picnic, our own picnic blanket - tablecloth.
Drawing inspiration from the fabric designs of Louise Bourgeois, we weave old fabrics with threads following the patchwork technique, creating abstract and intense personal pieces that embody the past use of these materials.
Essential material for attending the workshop is for participants to bring pieces of old fabrics, embroidery, or clothes from their home dowry to weave them, connect and integrate them in their own final hand-woven piece.
