At a press conference held today at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), the cooperation among SNFCC, Natural Gas - Hellenic Energy Company and Petros Petropoulos AEBE, official importer of Jaguar, Range Rover, Defender and Discovery, was announced for the largest EV charging station in Greece with 50 chargers for simultaneous charging of electric vehicles. The first phase of the project starts with the operation of 24 charging points on the ground floor of the car park building of the SNFCC – including two chargers for people with disabilities-, while within 2024 the project will be completed with 50 charging points in total, all up to 22kW (AC).

In a joint effort to raise public awareness of the green transition, this new service operates on a 24-hour basis and is provided free of charge to visitors of the SNFCC for one year. Also the SNFCC visitors will get the chance to spend one weekend a month testing the capabilities of Range Rover's plug-in hybrid vehicles.

During the press conference, Dimitris Protopsaltou, General Director SNFCC Single Member S.A., Yannis Mitropoulos, President of ESPEN and General Manager of Fysiko Aerio - Hellenic Energy Company and Michael H. Economakis, Executive Chairman of Petros Petropoulos SA and Chairman of the Hellenic Recycling Recovery Company SA, talked about the cooperation of the three organizations, presented their vision for the transition to electrification and green energy and responded to the media representatives’ questions. The discussion was moderated by journalist Katerina Christofilidou.

Specifically, Dimitris Protopsaltou, General Director, SNFCC Single Member S.A, stated: "With sustainability and social awareness of green mobility as common ground, this collaboration certifies that the SNFCC is a model of public space and public-private partnership. We are delighted that today we join forces with two valuable partners who respect and actively honor the mission of the SNFCC."

Referring to the vision of Fysiko Aerio - Hellenic Energy Company, Yannis Mitropoulos, President of ESPEN and General Manager of Fysiko Aerio - Hellenic Energy Company, said, among others: "Our strategic partnership with the SNFCC and Petros Petropoulos SA for the creation of the largest electric vehicle charging station in Greece, confirms our company's commitment to adopting initiatives in the direction of innovation and sustainability.
