Exploring the world of art, inspired by Jannis Psychopedis’s work
Greek and European art provide an infinite source of inspiration for Jannis Psychopedis’ creative explorations. From Goya to Renoir and Hadjikyriakos-Ghika to Bouzianis, Psychopedis observes how human figures are conveyed, in interplay with the landscape and tradition, and creatively transforms them into his own distinctive works.
In January’s workshop, we will take a retrospective look at the art of portraiture, viewing examples of Greek and European art that touched Jannis Psychopedis in which facial expressions or dialogue with their environment inspired him to create his own works.
Then, we will create our own portraits of our loved ones, referencing real life or a photograph, in mixed media, drawing and painting.
