Time capsule for Heroesin modern Greek art

Time capsules carry stories from the past that are worth remembering into the future. The tales of our heroes, for example.
This course explores the meaning of HERO, yesterday and today, through the multifaceted prism of Art. Starting with some of the most representative works of Greek art from the collection of the National Gallery, and over a period of about 200 years, students are asked to identify heroes in works of art from different periods, in order to ultimately decide what defines a hero.
