On the occasion of World Environment day, celebrated annually on the 5th of June, Schools@SNFCC invites children and teenagers (ages 4-17) to design their own stamp.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), a leading example of environmental sustainability on all levels (design and construction, operation, and footprint in the local ecosystem), has come up with a different way to celebrate World Environment Day this year, that will allow it to reach students directly, and raise their awareness on issues regarding the environment.
We are, therefore, inviting all children to look for inspiration in the natural environment and our planet, and draw anything they like.
The SNFCC, in collaboration with the Hellenic Post service, will print out the first 200 pictures in the form of a stamp, and send each child the stamp with their picture. In addition, all the stamps produced will be posted on the SNFCC website. So hurry up and send us your picture, to be one of the children who will see it turned into a stamp!
