The SNFCC School Programs organize training sessions for the teachers we have collaborated with over the years as part of school visits, as well as for those who would like to learn about our educational work for the first time.

Sexual Education for Healthy Relationships

On the occasion of the World Association for Sexual Health’s call (WAS – World Sexual Health Day 2024), this training aims to raise awareness and empower educators on the need to include comprehensive sexual education interventions in classrooms. It will present and discuss the key issues that often hinder the integration of sexual education in schools, with the aim of overcoming them. Lastly, it will showcase a comprehensive sexual education proposal, utilizing educational scenarios and short animation films (AMAZE) on sexual health topics.

World Day of Joy
World Day of Joy
For educators of all levels

The Ideopoieio is an original and fun workshop for teachers, offering an experiential introduction to Creative Thinking and Creativity and how these can be applied in education. The workshop combines theoretical knowledge (from fields such as Psychology, Neuroscience, Education, the Arts, etc.) with various creative activities, and presents many examples, ideas, and inspiring stories.

Creative Thinking is the starting point for innovation and is now considered an essential skill for “the increasingly complex living and working environments of the 21st century.” Professionally, Creative Thinking contributes to the systematic generation of original ideas that have value, solving (complex) problems in new ways, effectively tackling new and unpredictable challenges, overcoming mental and cognitive limitations, and applying prior experience and knowledge to new areas. In personal life, it helps individuals bounce back from setbacks, adapt to changes, overcome adversity, and generally face the future with more optimism and confidence. Studies have shown that creative abilities can be significantly improved through proper education and practice.

Instructor: Dimitris Grammenos
This workshop is led by Dr. Dimitris Grammenos, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). Since 2014, he has been developing and organizing experiential experiences that combine Creative Thinking with Fun. To date, he has organized over 90 workshops in 5 countries and online, with a total of more than 9,500 participants of all ages. The average rating of these workshops is over 9/10. This program is carried out by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in collaboration with the Institute of Computer Science – Foundation for Research and Technology (ICS-FORTH).
