We would like to express our great sorrow for the loss of Filippos Tsimpoglou, Director General of the National Library of Greece (NLG).
Filippos Tsimpoglou dedicated his life to the service of the NLG and was a catalytic force in its transition to a new era, through the development and modernization of its procedures, processes and practices, during its relocation to the Stavros Foundation Cultural Center Niarchos (SNFCC) - a particularly difficult and demanding project.
It was an honor for all of us at the SNFCC to have worked with him and we will always remember him for his dedication to the development of libraries in Greece, as well as for the passion with which he served the vision of NLG.
We express our deep and sincere condolences to his family, his loved ones, and his colleagues at NLG.
