On Thursday, July 6th, Episode 1 of “This Is America & The World Visits Greece” premiered on PBS, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The program highlights the culture, economy, history and government of Greece in a three-episode series.
This Is America & The World (TIATW) is a weekly, internationally-focused television series on PBS, produced on location around the world, and distributed in the US and internationally. Programming includes personal conversations and roundtable discussion with foreign ambassadors, U.S. diplomats, experts, and journalists. Additionally, programs feature topics such as culture, trade, daily life, the economy, and important historical sites. TIATW aims to use their programs to inform and educate viewers about important and interesting countries, as well as vital international news and events.
Episode 1 features a visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, highlighting it as a location for the convergence of past, present and future.
Episode 2 aired on Thursday, July 13th, and the 3rd one will go live on Thursday, July 20th.
