Εργαστήριο: Δημιουργία τρισδιάστατης μακέτας

Building a 3D model inspired by George Zongolopoulos’ sculpture.

The workshop aims to study and use the important Greek sculptor’s structures, materials and styles to render imaginative compositions in a variety of materials used in his works. With reference to the sculptural tradition of geometric abstraction, perforated textures and airy forms of his iconic work, Umbrellas, participants will design and compose individual parts reminiscent of George Zongolopoulos’ celebrated sculptures.

After breaking them apart, we will re-arrange them into a 3D sculptural assemblage so that individual elements create/reveal kinetic, airy forms.
