The SNFCC and Perimeter Institute, one of the world’s biggest research centers of Theoretical Physics, are holding a student day conference, dedicated to women in science.

On Tuesday 11 February 2020, we invite 150 female high school students (3rd grade middle school and 1rst grade high school) to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, along with acclaimed women from STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).

During the Student Day Conference: Inspiring Young Women in Science, which will take place at the SNFCC Lighthouse, the students will have the opportunity to discuss with the women scientists, to be inspired by their personal stories and to get the necessary advice on how they can set their own course into the fields of science.

The event will be conducted via presentations, talks and fast-paced mentoring. In particular, the event includes three main talks, a discussion panel with four speakers, and Speed Mentoring for the participants by 12 mentors.

Parents and teachers can register students to the event at SNFCC.org.

On the day of the event, parents and teachers-chaperones that wish so, will have the opportunity to watch the event through live broadcast at the Book Castle.

For students outside of Attica, there will be a live broadcast of talks and discussions, while, at the same time, they will have the opportunity to submit their questions via a special application. More info at SNFCC.org/live.
