Discovering the World of Visual Arts, inspired by the work of Jannis Psychopedis
Prompted by the Jannis Psychopedis exhibition, we continue to explore how play opens up ways of communication between the worlds of little ones and grown-ups, and help familiarize babies with art and its possibilities.
The first December meeting begins with an exciting journey through sensations, with infants and parents engaging in games of intense, dynamic movement and contact. In the second session, we explore experientially the notion of contrast as we move from the inside to the outside, all around and up-down in space, improvising to the rhythm of the music while creating play spaces and sensory constructions.
In the month’s last couple of sessions we get into the holiday spirit more and more, and it starts to snow... powdered sugar! We make white landscapes using foam and we play with Christmas characters to the sounds of holiday tunes.
