Screening of Vangelis Germanos recorded concert at the SNFCC - Εικόνα

Enjoy selected online concerts that took place as part of the #snfccAtHome series of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). On Tuesday 11/08 at 21.00, the concert of Vangelis Germanos, which took place on July 16 at the SNFCC Dome, will be screened at the Stavros Niarchos Park's Great Lawn.

Vangelis Germanos took his turn on the stage with his review of a long career that began in the early 1980s with his album Ta Barakia, produced by Dionysis Savvopoulos. Songs that are like a breeze, with disarmingly pure melodies about tales of love, in the rock ballad tradition. In his concert at the SNFCC, Vangelis Germanos, alone on the stage, played a selection from his history on his acoustic guitar, reflecting human relationships in songs that fuse universal and eternal questions. A journey through time, with references to eclectic musical genres that bring together East and West, rock and tradition, from the alternative perspective of an “outcast” songwriter who has written his own history on the Greek scene, with a passion for good song writing that is increasingly rare in our days.

The #snfccAtHome: music series, where beloved Greek artists performed concerts which were broadcasted live from emblematic locations within the SNFCC, without an audience, hosted major performers from across the range of musical genres, such as Dimitra Galani, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Natassa Bofiliou, Pavlos Pavlidis, Savina Yannatou, Dimitris Kamarotos, Katerine Duska & Leon of Athens, Stavros Lantsias, Theodore, Νalyssa Green, K.Bhta, and Dionysis Savvopoulos.

The #snfccAtHome: music series, and the SNFCC digital program in its entirety, was realized thanks to a program support grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
