As part of the joint off premises activity for the Members of the SNFCC, and in collaboration with the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens, we invite our Members to an exclusive tour at the «SYMBOLS & Iconic Ruins» exhibition guided by its chief curator Dr. Panayotis Pangalos, Architect and Associate Professor at the School Of Applied Arts & Culture, University of West Attica.
137 artists, architects, and art theorists from Greece and abroad present 110 artworks and explore the ways in which we perceive and approach potent cultural symbols. Under a common conceptual framework, the contemporary works of art and architecture bring together different conceptualizations of the symbol.
The SNFCC architectural model is included in these artworks, as one of the most contemporary examples of cultural architecture in the urban fabric.
Many of the exhibitions’ artworks were created specifically for this event and are displayed for the first time, while there will be projection of documentaries and videos on art and architecture, as well as rare archival material.
