A series of meetings and workshops focusing on the main vegetables and herbs planted in spring and summer, many of which can be found in Stavros Niarchos Park. Participants learn their uses, how to grow them, and finally create their own spring and summer flower bed.
05/05: How to Plant and Care for Spring Vegetables We examine the growth of the spring vegetables we planted in a garden bed, giving tips on crop rotation and co-planting, and explaining how plants interact with each other and with other organisms. Eco-friendly gardening: weeding, watering, transplanting. The garden bed of heirloom varieties.
19/05: Protecting Spring Vegetables from Enemies and Pests Prevention practices and eco-friendly plant protection. In this workshop, we bring the microcosm of the garden under the microscope, learning how to identify diseases and pests, and how to apply eco-friendly plant protection tactics in the urban garden.
