The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), in partnership with “Sports Excellence”, which operates under the scientific supervision of the 1st Orthopedic Clinic of the Medical school of Athens, is organizing a series of lectures on the COVID-10 pandemic. All the lectures will be broadcasted from the Book Castle via live streaming. The event is coordinated by the “Regeneration & Progress” NGO, and the program is realized thanks to a grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

This scientific forum will discuss the impact of climate change on biodiversity and, by extension, the human body. Is there a correlation between temperature inversion and the detrimental effects on the environment, and the re-emergence of old diseases and the spike in mortality and morbidity of chronic ailments? Finally, the speakers will examine the enforced reduction in industrial production and suspension of transportation in terms of their impact on the greenhouse effect.
