Once upon a time before Stonewall - Εικόνα

As part of Athens Pride Week, Athens Pride in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center trace the LGBTQI+ history during the decades before the Stonewall riots, a series of demonstrations in Greenwich Village, New York, in 1969, that became a milestone for the contemporary LGBTQI+ rights movement. Starting from the late 19th century and going all the way through the legendary year of 1969, we look back to the past while focusing on how the knowledge of yesterday can contribute in building the foundations of tomorrow.
