How can the plants of Stavros Niarchos Park become a decorative pattern for our textiles?
In this workshop, exclusively for SNFCC Members, we become reacquainted with the lost art of plant-based textile coloring, and more particularly with Bundle Dyeing. We are experimenting with unpredictable herbal patterns, since flowers, leaves and tree barks will serve as our natural tools for this technique!
Sparking our imagination with the synthesis of symmetric or abstract patterns in spring colors, we will learn about Mediterranean plants with colorants and how to create visual effects on textiles.
At the end of the workshop, the shapes and colors of Mediterranean nature will be imprinted on a silk scarf, giving it our personal touch!
