It is with great pleasure that we invite SNFCC Members on Tuesday 22/06 to an exclusive sneak peek to the major exhibition of iconic sculptures by the internationally-acclaimed visual artist Takis (Panayiotis Vassilakis, 1925–2019).

The exhibition, staged at the SNFCC in collaboration with the Takis Foundation – Research Center for the art & the sciences will introduce Takis to a new generation, as well as providing those already familiar with his work with a fresh perspective on its significance through the presence of 46 representative works by the leading Greek artist in the public spaces of the SNFCC.

The artworks featured in the exhibition include Takis’ emblematic Aeolians, Light Signals-Archimedes’ Screw, and Fireworks, as well representative works from his “Musicals”, “Magnetic Wall / The 4th Dimension”, “Spirals”, “Electrical Barrels”, “Flowers” and “Spheres” series.

Αn amalgam of scientific research and laws of nature, an attempt to give invisible forces a physical dimension, Takis’ moving art activates our senses provoking us to face the cosmic forces of the universe, questioning about contemporary social and ecological challenges. Collectively and individually, all his artworks comprise a “Cosmos In Motion”, which we invite you to interact and connect to, and perhaps unlock many more.

As Members, you may visit the exhibition first, with 1 day priority before its official opening, with an exclusive tour!

The preview will be followed by limited tours exclusively for you, which will be carried out throughout the duration of the exhibition!

Meeting point:  Small Agora

The tours will be held in Greek.

Number of participants per tour: 20 people

Free participation through online pre-registration.
Pre-registration is required both for adults and children.
Booking links are sent to Members via the SNFCC Members Newsletter.

The use of face mask and social distancing measures are mandatory in indoor and outdoor areas of the SNFCC, in accordance with Hellenic National Public Health Organization regulations.

Useful information:

• Participants are advised to be at the event's location 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the event.
• The tours take place weather permitting.
• All SNFCC areas are accessible to people with disabilities.
• Pre-registrations are canceled 15' prior to the commencement of the event in case of no-shows.

Due to public health measures, there may be changes regarding either the staging of the event, or the maximum number of participants.
