Members Events: Creative Embroidery | Eminent personalities - Εικόνα

2021 is a landmark year for Greece. In recognition of its significance, the creative embroidery workshop honors people whose actions and work changed the course of history and left an indelible mark upon our society.

We will embroider figures inspired by international personalities from the realms of politics, the arts, and science. Beginning from the materials and preparatory work required to get started with embroidery, we will move on to learning the basic techniques that we will use in order to complete our handiwork.

The purpose of the workshop is to initiate each participant into the creative world of embroidery, and to have them create, by the end of the workshop, their own embroidery of an historical figure. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners, as well as for those who would like to try embroidering something new.

In this Members' exclusive workshop, we draw inspiration from Martin Luther King, whose life and work represent the struggle for freedom, civil rights, equality, and the elimination of racial discriminations.
