In this new English language tour, visitors are guided through the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), and the tours take place inside the state-of-the-art building complex that includes the National Library of Greece and the Greek National Opera as well as the interior and exterior public space surrounding the buildings.
At the same time, on the occasion of the art exhibition with emblematic sculptures of the internationally renowned artist Takis (Panagiotis Vasilakis, 1925-2019) at the Cultural Center Stavros Niarchos Foundation, visitors browse at some of his artworks. The exhibition, which is entitled Τakis: Cosmos In Motion, was made possible by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Presenting 46 representative works by the leading Greek artist in the public spaces of the SNFCC, the show will introduce Takis to a new generation, as well as providing those already familiar with his work with a fresh perspective on its significance.
